Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the Fuzzy Almanac mobile app and fuzzyalmanac.com (together, the “Service”). Fuzzy Almanac is independently developed and operated by the developer identified on the applicable App Store or Google Play listing (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Privacy questions and requests may be sent to other@fuzzyalmanac.com.

1. Information stored on your device

Fuzzy Almanac is offline-first. The app may store owner and pet profiles, pet details, routines and completions, family activity, journal entries, vaccinations, medications, allergies, weights, veterinary visits, reminders, care records, photos, avatars, selected PDF or image documents, and synchronization state in local device storage. Camera, photo-library, and file access are used only when you choose a feature that needs them and your operating system grants permission. The app does not request precise device location; Nearby services hands a general search to an external maps or browser app you choose.

2. Optional accounts, cloud sync, and files

You can use local features without an account. If you register or sign in, Supabase may process your email address, authentication identifier, session information, and Google or Apple sign-in information when you choose those services. Supported records synchronize between the app’s local SQLite database and your authorized household in the cloud. Selected photos and documents may transfer to private cloud storage. Offline or failed changes remain in a retry queue until they can synchronize.

3. How information is used

We use information to provide features you request; save and display pet care and memory records; authenticate accounts; enforce household roles; synchronize supported records and private files; maintain security; diagnose failed synchronization; respond to support; and process deletion requests. Where applicable, processing is based on providing the Service you request, your permissions and choices, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with law. We do not sell personal information. The current app does not contain advertising, cross-app tracking, behavioral advertising, or analytics SDKs.

4. Household sharing and conflicts

Authorized members of the same cloud household may access and change records or files according to their role. Synced records use update timestamps and versions. If devices edit the same record before receiving one another’s change, Last Write Wins may replace an earlier edit with the later accepted update. Deletions use markers so they can propagate between devices.

5. Providers and external services

Supabase provides optional authentication, database, private storage, and server-function infrastructure. Google processes information if you choose Google sign-in, and Apple may process information if you choose Sign in with Apple. Cloudflare hosts this website. Google Fonts may receive ordinary web request information such as IP address and browser details when a page loads. Your operating system and apps you choose may process permissions, files, links, searches, calls, and email actions under their own policies. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, animals, the Service, or legal rights. We do not allow providers to use private pet content for their own advertising.

6. Guide and third-party destinations

The New Pet Guide contains original, general educational material written from factual references. It is not veterinary advice and does not send pet records to an AI provider. When you open an official source, nearby service, phone number, email, or maps search, the destination provider may receive the link or search text and ordinary network or device information under its own policy.

7. Retention and deletion

Local information remains until you delete it, clear the app’s local cache, delete the app, or your operating system removes its storage. Cloud records remain while the account or shared household is active, including soft-deleted records needed to synchronize deletion. Choosing Delete cloud account removes the authentication account, personal profile, personal progress and device records, and private files uploaded by that account. A one-person household is deleted. If other active members remain, ownership is transferred and shared household records may remain for them with the departing account attribution removed. Provider backups and security logs may persist for a limited routine backup, fraud-prevention, or legal period before deletion or anonymization.

Use the signed-in app control when possible. If you cannot access the app, visit the account-deletion page or email other@fuzzyalmanac.com from the account address. We may need to verify account ownership.

8. Your choices and rights

You may decline optional fields and permissions, use local features without signing in, sign out, edit or delete available records, clear the local cache, or request cloud account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, appeal a privacy decision, or delete personal information and to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise a right.

9. Security and international processing

The app relies on device protections, authenticated sessions, database row-level access policies, private storage policies, and household role checks. Cloud storage is private but is not end-to-end encrypted with a key known only to you. No system can guarantee absolute security. Cloud information may be processed in the Supabase project’s hosting region and where approved providers operate, which may be outside your country.

10. Children

Fuzzy Almanac is intended for adults caring for pets and is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required where a user lives. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information in violation of applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child supplied information without required authorization.

11. Website forms and communications

The current waitlist form only displays a confirmation in your browser and does not submit or store the entered email on our server. If a real waitlist or mailing service is connected later, this policy will be updated before collection begins. If you email us, we use the message and address to respond and maintain appropriate support or compliance records.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service changes. The current version and effective date will appear on this page, with additional notice or consent when required. Contact other@fuzzyalmanac.com with privacy questions, rights requests, or complaints.
