Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern Fuzzy Almanac (the “App” or “Service”), which is independently operated by the developer identified on the applicable App Store or Google Play listing. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms and meet the minimum age required where you live. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your sign-in methods and devices, promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access, and activity through your account. Do not create an account for another person or provide another person’s information without permission.

2. Offline-first service and optional cloud sync

The App saves supported information to local device storage so core features can work offline. If you sign in, supported records may synchronize with a configured Supabase backend and selected photos or documents may transfer to private storage. Pending or failed work is retried after connectivity returns, but synchronization can be delayed, interrupted, or fail. Preserve independent copies of irreplaceable documents and photos.

3. Conflicts, deletion, and device changes

Synced records use timestamps, versions, and deletion markers. If devices edit the same record before receiving one another’s change, Last Write Wins can replace an earlier edit with the later accepted update. Clearing a local cache does not delete cloud information, and available cloud records may download again while signed in. Verify synchronization status before replacing or clearing a device.

4. Household sharing

Authorized household members may view, add, change, or delete synchronized information according to their assigned role and the configured access policies. Owners and administrators are responsible for inviting the correct people and removing access when it is no longer appropriate. A member’s actions can affect every synchronized device. Do not rely on the Service as the only way to communicate urgent care responsibilities.

5. Your content

You retain the rights you hold in notes, photos, documents, and other content you add. You give us and our service providers only the limited permission needed to store, process, synchronize, transmit, display, secure, and delete that content to operate features you use. You represent that you have permission to add and share it and that it does not violate law, confidentiality duties, or another person’s rights.

6. Care information, Guide, reminders, and emergencies

Fuzzy Almanac is an organization and general education tool, not a veterinarian, diagnosis, treatment plan, medication instruction, monitoring service, or substitute for professional care. Guide material and reminders may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or unsuitable for an individual animal. Never delay professional advice because of the Service. For symptoms, poisoning, medication, diet, or care decisions, contact a qualified veterinarian. In an emergency, contact a local emergency veterinary service or appropriate poison-control service and independently verify phone numbers, availability, location, and fees.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service; access another account or household without authorization; upload unlawful, malicious, or rights-infringing content; probe or interfere with security; distribute malware; automate abusive requests; reverse engineer where prohibited; or use the Service to harm people or animals.

8. Availability, changes, and termination

The App, synchronization, file transfer, reminders, and third-party services may be unavailable, delayed, changed, or discontinued. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users, animals, systems, legal rights, or the Service, subject to applicable law. You may stop using the App, clear local data, sign out, and use the deletion process in the App or on the public account-deletion page.

9. Intellectual property and third-party services

The App design, software, and original educational content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party libraries, Supabase, Google, Apple, operating-system services, maps, websites, and factual source references remain governed by their own licenses and terms. A link or source reference does not imply endorsement.

10. Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular animal or purpose. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. The law that otherwise applies to you and the Service governs these Terms; these Terms do not require arbitration or waive a forum or remedy that applicable law guarantees.

11. Changes and contact
